A VR Journey to Ancient Egypt

<Horizon of Khufu> takes VR to the next level, letting you explore the Great Pyramid of Giza in an immersive 300-square-meter space. As soon as I put on the VR headset, I was transported to ancient Egypt, guided by an Egyptologist named Mona. The experience of wandering through hidden chambers was unlike anything I’ve tried before.

What stood out most was being able to see my companions in VR. It felt like we were truly exploring together—walking through the pyramid, crossing the Nile by boat, and interacting in real time. I also learned fascinating details, like how limestone and granite kept the pyramid standing for millennia and spotted ancient workers’ graffiti up close.

An Educational Adventure for Kids

Following the guide, we explored the King’s Chamber and burial rooms, even joining an ancient Egyptian funeral ritual. My kids were amazed to hear how black cats were guardians of the soul. The thrilling moments—like riding a virtual rollercoaster—made the 45 minutes fly by. The realism was so intense I could almost smell the incense during the final ceremony.

It’s also a fantastic history docent experience for kids. After the exhibition, you can book additional activities via https://myrealt.rip/AHAXd7—a fun way to blend learning and play!

Perfect for a Date

I honestly think this is an amazing date idea. If you love Egypt or VR, you’ll be hooked. My husband joked, “It’s so real, we don’t even need to visit Egypt!” The post-exhibition art shop, with its adorable souvenirs, was the cherry on top.

Early Bird Tips & Awesome Goodies

Book now for the early bird discount (until March 26)—Adults 21,000 KRW, Kids 16,800 KRW—via Naver Booking. The art shop is a treasure trove too! I snagged some cute cat figurines and pyramid keychains—super affordable and great for bag decorating.
